Shell Bell |
The best ability for Flamigo in Tera Raid Battles is Costar, which causes Flamigo to copy its ally's stat changes once it enters the battle. This is useful for when Flamigo faints as it can instantly get its ally's boost once it revives, saving it time setting up.
We also recommend getting a Flamigo with a Flying Tera Type to boost the power of its Flying-type attacks. As a Physical attacker, an Adamant nature is best to ensure that its physical attakkcs hit as hard as possible.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your HP and Attack to give it as much bulk and physical offense as possible while adding the remaining EVs into Defense.
Giving Costar a Shell Bell ensures that it recovers health while dealing damage.
Flamigo Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1~3 | Use Wing Attack to generate Tera Orb charge. Note: Even if Flamigo faints, it will retain its Tera Orb charge after reviving. |
Turns 4~6 | Use Swords Dance three times to max out Flamigo's Attack. Note: Make sure to use Swords Dance after Samurott resets all stat changes. |
Turns 7+ | Terastallize into a Flying-type and use Brave Bird to damage Samurott's shield and finish the battle. |
Start the Tera Raid by using Wing Attack to damage Samurott and generate Tera Orb charge. If Flamigo fants, it will retain its charges once it revives.
Once Samurott resets all stat changes, use Swords Dance three times to boost Flamigo's Attack by 6 stages.
Once you have enough Tera Orb chage, terastallize into a Flying-type and use Brave Bird to damage Samurott's shield and finish the battle.

This Flamigo Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Grass, Fighting and Bug Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually an Electric, Flying, Ice, and Psychic Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Flamigo will be weak to these Types as a dual Fighting and Flying-type.
