Game8's Competitive Damage Calculator
Overqwil with Swift Swim can come in after Pelipper U-Turns out, allowing it to take advantage of the Rain and get a Speed boost.
Overqwil has access to Intimidate and Icy Wind, which it can use to reduce Attack stats and Speed Stats. Bulky and moderately fast teammates can take advantage of this and gain good positioning in a match.
Qwilfish enjoys teammates that can switch in for it. Teammates that can fly or have Levitate are good teammates for it to have, as they can switch into Qwilfish's only weakness, Ground.
Special Attacker | Tank | Special Attacker |
---|---|---|
Pelipper | Overqwil | Gholdengo |
Pelipper is a solid lead for Rain teams, because it can U-Turn out of the active spot while setting up Rain with Drizzle on the turn it enters the field. Gholdengo also works great in Rain teams, because it is a Steel-type and it enjoys the Fire damage reduction.
Tank | Physical Attacker |
---|---|
Overqwil | Dragonite |
Special Attacker | Special Attacker |
Iron Bundle | Gholdengo |
Overqwil and Dragonite can work together to gather KOs for your team, where Overqwil can help Dragonite outspeed opponents using Icy Wind. It can also keep Dragonite healthy with Intimidate, which is also synergistic with Dragonite's Multiscale Ability. Iron Bundle matches favorably against Ground-types who may give Gholdengo and Overqwil a difficult time, while Gholdengo is a powerful Special Attacker that can go up against Fairy-types that Dragonite may have trouble with.
Overqwil does not enjoy going head to head with powerful offensive Ground-types. Use Ground-type Attacks and overwhelm Overqwil

The EVs for the doubles build are completely ridiculous. They add up to wayyyy more than 510….
