You can untangle yarn by completing a set of puzzles. If you play on mobile for free, you can complete one set of puzzles per day. However, if you play on switch or buy the Basic Pack DLC, you can play an unlimited amount of puzzles.

There are 3 DLC packs if you download Pokemon Friends for free on mobile. If you play on the Nintendo Switch, there will only be 2 DLC packs available, since the Basic Pack is already included in your purchase.

There are bundles that you can buy to get all content for lesser cost, so we recommend getting them instead of buying each pack individually.

Shadowdropped on July 22, 2025

Pokemon Friends was shadowdropped immediately after being announced at the Pokemon Presents on July 22. The game is available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop and free-to-start on mobile via the App Store or Google Play.
