The second round of the 7 Star Tera Raid Event featuring Delphox for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is now over. The second round of this event ran until July 16.
Delphox caught during this event have the Mightiest Mark and 6 perfect IVs, making it quite the prize!
Note that only one Delphox can be caught per save file. This means if you have already caught Delphox, you will not be elligible to catch it again, though you could still participate in the raid and earn great rewards!

(Hidden Ability) IVs: 31 IVs in Every Stat Nature: ・ Fire Blast ・ Psychic ・ Dazzling Gleam ・ Will-O-Wisp Can also use: ・ Dazzling Gleam ・ Magic Room ・ Nasty Plot |
Delphox has a move called Magic Room which disables the effects of all held items on the field. This is very troubling as a lot of Tera Raid builds rely on the held item, Shell Bell for healing.
Luckily, it doesn't use this move until relatively later in the battle, but still keep this in mind while taking it on.
Delphox's Hidden Ability, Magician, has the effect where it will steal your Held Item when the user attacks. This ability will not work in Tera Raids just like the move Thief will always fail when used.
While Delphox cannot steal your held items, it still has access to the move Magic Room. This move will remove the effects of any held item on the field like Shell Bell and Leftovers.
It will not, however, remove the form changing ability of held items. So Pokemon like Dialga will revert to its Origin Forme, but will not recieve a buff to its Dragon and Steel type moves.

With its Fire and Ghost typing combined with its ability, Flash Fire, Ceruledge can easily resist and even be immune to anything Delphox can throw at it. With this ability, you can ensure that Bitter Blade can hit for harder to heal up any damage you may get.
With the Magician ability and access to Magic Room, holding a Shell Bell isn't as reliable of a held item as it should be for Tera Raids. Ceruledge can circumvent this by having its own recovery move in Bitter Blade.

While it might seem counter intuitive, with Delphox having resistances to its own atracking moves and having decent special bulk makes it a great option as a support Pokemon. Having access to Mystical Fire, Light Screen, and Magic Room makes it so that the party can easily handle a lot of what the Raid Delphox can throw while letting the party use their items again .

Sandwiches give various meal powers when consumed. If you want to gain even more rewards after defeating Delphox during its Raid Event, make sure to eat this sandwich before challenging the raid!
Meal Powers last for 30 minutes, so try to find and beat as many raids as possible during that time!

Delphox normally cannot be found in Paldea, making the 7-Star Event Delphox quite the catch, but you have to fight it in a Black Crystal Tera Raid.
These raids are tough, so trainers will have to prepare in advance. It's also recommended to complete the post-game before you participate. Players who are in earlier points of the game can still join via Link Code, but it is highly discouraged since these 7-Star raids will be extremely difficult.
How to Unlock 6-Star Raids and List of Pokemon
Remember that Black Tera Raid symbols on the map do not come in any other color except black. Meanwhile, normal Tera Raid symbols are colored according to the Tera Type of the Pokemon in them.
When you're looking for the Tera Raid with the 7-Star Delphox, keep your eyes peeled for a Black Tera Raid symbol on the map with the Fairy-type icon.
Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles
You are able to join Event Raid Dens online. When the event is live, you can use our Tera Raid Board to coordinate a team to take it down!
To participate in the event with other players, you must have a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership, which is bought separately from the game.
Multiplayer Modes: All New Co-Op Adventure and Connectivity Options
Trainers must also make sure they have the latest version of Poke Portal News in their game. This should automatically download if your Switch is connected to the Internet.

Delphox, during the Tera Raid, will have a Fairy Tera Type and not its regular Fire and Psychic typing. Be sure to bring Steel and Poison type attacks to gain advantage over Delphox.
Delphox being a Fairy-type is problematic because Delphox's movepool is saturated with Fire and Psychic type moves, which will heavily counter Steel and Poison types respectively. Be sure to bring Pokemon with decent Special bulk so as to not be wiped out easily by the boss.
Like with previous 7-Star Raids, you can only catch one 7-Star Delphox, although you may still participate in other Delphox raids and get the rewards if you complete it.
Additionally, players who caught the Delphox in Round 1 cannot catch Decidueye again even if they participate in Round 2.
Once you've caught the Delphox, you can easily breed it to produce Fennekin Eggs. Like other bred Pokemon, they also have a chance to be Shiny!
However, note that these Fennekin will not inherit the Mightiest Mark from the 7-Star Delphox.
Breeding Guide: How to Breed and Get Eggs
The raid Delphox that you will encounter will have Magician, this ability allows the user to steal the opponent's held item.
While Delphox has the Magician ability, Delphox cannot makes use of this ability. This can be observed with the move Thief, as it will always fail when used in raids.
Magic Room will disable any Held Item's effects as long as it is active on the field. So raid staple items like the Shell Bell and Leftovers will not be viable in forming strategies in this Raid.
The ability, however, does not affect Held Item Form changes like Dialga holding the Adamant Crystal turning it into its Origin Forme. It will, however, prevent the item from boosting Dialga's Steel and Dragon-type moves.
A similar case can be found withing the Alpha Pokemon, Arceus. Magic Room will let Arceus change its type with its respective Plate. However, the move Judgment will be reverted back into a Normal-type move.
