Rewards |
7-Star Emboar Defeat "Emboar the Unrivaled" in a Black Crystal Tera Raid during the event and you'll get a Electric Tera Type Emboar with the Mightiest Mark. Treasures and Battle Items Obtain various items which you can use to build battle-ready Pokemon or sell in stores for money. |
Unlock Requirements |
Unlock 6-Star Tera Raid Battles to Participate To do this, you'll need to complete the Academy Ace Tournament, then do 8-10 4-Star or 5-Star Raids until you get a call from Jacq. |
Round 2 of the 7-star Tera Raid Event featuring Emboar with the Electric Tera Type is now over! The second round ran on June 21, 2024 until June 23, 2024! Along with this is the rerun of the Blissey Tera Shard Raid Event!
Emboar with the Mightiest Mark, the featured Pokemon for this event, could only be caught once. However, you could still participate in this event even after you've caught Emboar if you wanted to get more of its rewards.
Just like previous 7-Star Tera Raid events, the 7-Star Meganium Raid Dens would only spawn in Paldea. If you haven't purchased The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, no need to worry as the Raid Den cannot appear in Kitakami or the Terarium. You also don't need to do the Mochi Mayhem Epilogue in order to start this raid.

The best counters for the Emboar Raid are Swampert and Garchomp. With their amazing physical bulk combined with their typing, these two can easily tank anything Emboar might throw at it.
Garchomp is available in Paldea making it one of the best options if you have no access to the DLC or Pokemon HOME. Meanwhile, Swampert is an amazing pick due to it being resistant or even immune to Emboar's kit

Emboar normally cannot be found in Paldea, making the 7-Star Event Emboar quite the catch, but you have to fight it in a Black Crystal Tera Raid.
These raids are tough, so trainers will have to prepare in advance. It's also recommended to complete the post-game before you participate. Players who are in earlier points of the game can still join via Link Code, but it is highly discouraged since these 7-Star raids will be extremely difficult.
How to Unlock 6-Star Raids and List of Pokemon
Remember that Black Tera Raid symbols on the map do not come in any other color except black. Meanwhile, normal Tera Raid symbols are colored according to the Tera Type of the Pokemon in them.
When you're looking for the Tera Raid with the 7-Star Emboar, keep your eyes peeled for a Black Tera Raid symbol on the map with the Electric-type icon.
Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles
You are able to join Event Raid Dens online. When the event is live, you can use our Tera Raid Board to coordinate a team to take it down!
To participate in the event with other players, you must have a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership, which is bought separately from the game.
Multiplayer Modes: All New Co-Op Adventure and Connectivity Options
Trainers must also make sure they have the latest version of Poke Portal News in their game. This should automatically download if your Switch is connected to the Internet.

I just ran the raid again, went with the first team it gave me with a Heracross and no intimidators, and I even missed one of my tera HH attacks....then a second KO at the very end. ....and I still won. With this build if you reset for a better NPC team, it'll be easier than my rough time I actually recorded. https://youtu.be/cVRLsamWFHs

"Lightning Rod makes (Rhyperior) immune to Emboar's nasty Wild Charge." Uh what? Rhyperior is Ground type, it's ALREADY immune to Wild Charge. Why not Solid Rock? At least that reduces damage from Drain Punch pre-Tera.
