Overgrow is the best Ability for this build so that Decidueye gets a 50% Attack or Special Attack boost when using a Grass-type move when it has 1/3 of its HP left.

|
Ability: Bulletproof (Hidden) IVs: 31 IVs in Every Stat Nature: Impish ・ Earthquake ・ Hammer Arm ・ Stone Edge ・ Wood Hammer Other Moves ・ Iron Defense ・ Bulk Up ・ Curse |
Chesnaught uses both Grass and Fighting-type STAB moves such as Hammer Arm and Earthquake, along with Stone Edge as its strongest Tera boosted coverage move.
For its extra moves, Chesnaught will use either Iron Defense, Bulk Up, or Curse, which compliments its high base defense.
Like all 7-Star Starter Raids, Chesnaught has its Hidden Ability Bulletproof during the raid. This gives it an immunity to all bomb and ball-type moves such as Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, and Bullet Seed.

If you want to really maximize your raid rewards for this event, making a Sandwich with a Level 3 Rock Raid Power is the best way. You need to use both a Sweet and Spicy Herba Mystica for this Sandwich however. While Raid Power Level 2 Sandwiches give you 2 additional item drops, this Level 3 Sandwich will drop 3 additional items.
Chesnaught normally cannot be found in Paldea, making the 7-Star Event Chesnaught quite the catch, but you have to fight it in a Black Crystal Tera Raid.
These raids are tough, so trainers will have to prepare in advance. It's also recommended to complete the post-game before you participate. Players who are in earlier points of the game can still join via Link Code, but it is highly discouraged since these 7-Star raids will be extremely difficult.
How to Unlock 6-Star Raids and List of Pokemon
Remember that Black Tera Raid symbols on the map do not come in any other color except black. Meanwhile, normal Tera Raid symbols are colored according to the Tera Type of the Pokemon in them.
When you're looking for the Tera Raid with the 7-Star Chesnaught, keep your eyes peeled for a Black Tera Raid symbol on the map with the Rock-type icon.
Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles
You are able to join Event Raid Dens online. When the event is live, you can use our Tera Raid Board to coordinate a team to take it down!
To participate in the event with other players, you must have a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership, which is bought separately from the game.
Multiplayer Modes: All New Co-Op Adventure and Connectivity Options
Trainers must also make sure they have the latest version of Poke Portal News in their game. This should automatically download if your Switch is connected to the Internet.

inb4 we know exactly what Chestnaught's moveset will be. I'm thinking it will have Zen Headbutt to counter the inevitable Annihilape/fighting pokemon spam tactics. Which will make it a truly nasty foe.

I have had great success with Esperatha. Opportunist ability, feather dance, calm mind, lumina crash and stored power, held shell bell. Great for solo and group up
