On Monday, February 27, the version 1.2.0 update for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet was released!
With this update, new features, new functionality for Pokémon Boxes, and bugs fixes that affected game progress, among other updates were implemented. Be sure to download this update to access online functionability.
This is a feature that has been present in previous games.
This makes it much easier to navigate to the desired Box/Pokemon
Using the Mystery GIft Feature on your copy of Pokemon Scarlet or Violet, you can directly connect to Pokemon GO via Bluetooth
You cannot send Pokemon using this method and are limited to Postcards, but these can affect the Vivillon patterns in your game.
Tera Raids were plagued with bugs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. One frustrating bug commonly reported by players was when during a Tera Raid they tried to select a move, the game would freeze for an extended period. Others included damage bugs, where the damage shown on the Raid Boss' health bar was not accurate and jumped back up after appearing to be brought down further than it was. Many of these issues were addressed in Version 1.2.0 for a smoother Tera Raid experience.
Bugs and Errors: How to Fix Crashes and Features Not Working
As seen in the above video there is a damage bug in the current version of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, where the damage shown on the Raid Boss' health bar is not accurate and jumps back up after appearing to be brought down further than it was. This is most famously known as the Azumarill Play Rough Bug, although it can also happen for other moves.
Additionally, there are times where your allies all suddenly get knocked out, despite appearing to have had full HP during 7-Star Raids. This is also a bug which was fixed in the 1.2.0 patch.
Play Rough Is Bugged, But Not As Bugged As You Think
Often times during Tera Raids, the Raid Boss activating its Tera Shield or clearing status effects, can cause a lengthy delay where the game essentially freezes and you can not input any command. This is especially apparent in 7-Star Raids, where this happens more frequently. Luckily from patch update 1.2.0 this is no more!
These are all bugs which are affecting specific Pokemon and moves in competitive Ranked Battle, namely Zoroark, Dondozo, Tatsugiri and Destiny Bond. There is also a fix for the Master Rank Ribbon glitch.
This is potentially devastating news for shiny hunters, as it means a reduction in the amount of wild Pokemon spawns, which would also mean a great increase in the average time to find a shiny Pokemon.
