Effect An item to be held by a Pokemon. If the holder becomes the infatuated, the Pokemon it is attracted to also becomes infatuated with the holder. When attached to a Pokemon while breeding, the offspring will get 5 IVs from its parents.

Used When Breeding for The Best IVs

When a Pokemon holding Destiny Knot lays an egg, five of the twelve Individual Values (IVs) from both of its parents will be passed down to the child Pokemon.

Do take note that the effects of Destiny Knot do not stack with one another. Buying and equipping a second Destiny Knot to the other parent Pokemon will not change the number of inherited IVs of the offspring from five to ten.
