A Second Trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet was released on June 1st! This guide has everything this trailer revealed, including the exact release date, box legendary Pokemon, new battle features, open world mechanics, and everything new in Generation 9!

The June 1 Trailer has been released!
Everything We Learned in the June 1 Second Trailer
Release Date on November 18th
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be released worldwide on November 18, 2022! Preorders for the digital version is now available in the Nintendo eShop.
Release Date and Release Time Details
Legendary Pokemon Revealed
 Koraidon (Dragon/Fighting?) |
 Miraidon (Dragon/Electric?) |
The Legendary for Pokemon Scarlet, Koraidon, and Pokemon Violet, Miraidon, were announced in the trailer. Their names include the Japanese words korai 古来, past, and mirai 未来, future, implying that Koraidon is a Pokemon representing the past and Miraidon is a Pokemon representing the future.
Based on their appearances, it seems possible that Koraidon will be a Dragon/Fighting type, and Miraidon will be a Dragon/Electric type.

A new Electric-type mouse, Pawmi, a Normal-type pig, Lechonk, and a Grass/Normal-type olive, Smoliv were also shown off in the trailer.
New Pokemon: All New Generation 9 Pokemon
4-Player Multiplayer in an Open World
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will allow four players to play together in the same world, discovering new Pokemon and exploring the world together. In addition, trading and battling are also confirmed to be returning, a relief after battling was not supported in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
It's also likely that there will be no set order to how players progress through the game, as the official site states that the game features a “world that you’re free to explore at your leisure and not in an order dictated by the story.”
New Professors are Version Exclusive

In a series first, it seems that the Professors will be version exclusives, with Professor Sada in Pokemon Scarlet, and Professor Turo in Pokemon Violet.

New Rival Announced
The rival for the games, Nemona, has been shown to be a skilled Pokemon trainer who unfortunately has a weak point in her poor aim with throwing Poke Balls. She is shown using a Pawmi in the trailer.

The new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, jam-packed with new information, is set to release on June 1, 2022 at 6AM PDT via the official Pokemon YouTube channel! We will be linking the official trailer here as well as writing a quick summary as soon as it's out!

As it stands, we still don't know the exact release date of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Maybe that will change when this trailer comes out! We're excited!

As of writing, we still don't know the official name of the region where the adventures in Scarlet and Violet will take place. Maybe the new trailer will reveal its name so we can properly reference it in the future!
Legendary Pokemon Announcement

As it stands, we currently don't know anything about the legendaries in Scarlet and Violet.
In Sword and Shield's second trailer, we got a quick look at Zacian and Zamazenta, Generation 8's box art legendary Pokemon! We expect the same thing for Scarlet and Violet - new legendary Pokemon to grace our screens in the trailer!
New Battle Mechanic

Also in Sword and Shield's second trailer, we got a quick look at the new battle mechanic that changed the way Pokemon battles were played in Generation 8: Dynamax!
We might see a new feature in this trailer as well, unique to this region!
New Pokemon Announcements
In the past livestream announcements, we got the names of the three new starters: Sprigatito, the grass-type feline, Fuecoco, the fire-type croc, and Quaxly, the water-type duck!
We expect that this trailer will bring out a plethora of new Pokemon, maybe even the second stage evolution for the starters?
New Pokemon Regional Forms
