To celebrate Golden Week in Japan, a new Mass Outbreak Event featuring Pokemon with gold Shiny Variants like Varoom, Magikarp, Shinx, and Rellor has been announced for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)! Read on to learn the event duration, its locations, the best sandwich for the mass outbreak event, and more!

The Mass Outbreak Event featuring Varoom, Magikarp, Shinx, and Rellor is now live and will take place from April 26, 2024 to May 06, 2024. This Mass Outbreak is running concurrently with the Iron Leaves and Walking Wake Tera Raid Event Reruns!
Mass outbreaks of multiple Pokemon like Varoom and Magikarp are more likely to appear in Paldea! Meanwhile, Kitakami has Shinx and the Terarium has Rellor.
These Pokemon will be found in Paldea, Kitakami, and the Terarium
Mass Outbreak Events Schedule and Pokemon
Just like with other Mass Outbreak events, an update will be available through the internet before the event can show up on your maps.
Make sure to update your game when the outbreak starts by connecting to the Internet. To do so, you can follow these steps:
Since Mass Outbreaks feature increased spawn rates of a specific Pokemon, this is a good time to hunt for a Shiny Variant of Varoom, Magikarp, Shinx, and Rellor!
Make and consume Sparkling Power Sandwiches, and use the Picnic Reset Method to make your shiny hunt easier!
Shiny Hunting Guide and Shiny Odds
Since Mass Outbreaks feature increased spawn rates of a specific Pokemon, this is a good time to hunt for a Shiny Pokemon with a special Mark!
Stock up on Sandwiches and Poke Balls to help you catch a Pokemon with the Mark you want!
Do note that the Pokemon featured in this Mass Outbreak Event do not have boosted Mark rates.
