Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Pokemon Egg
Jacq shows up in Kitakami and gifts you with an egg containing a random Sinnoh starter Pokemon in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) Teal Mask DLC! Read on to learn how to get Sinnoh starter eggs, Jacq's location, and the Pokemon that can hatch from the egg!

How to Get Sinnoh Starter Eggs

Get Egg from Jacq

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Pokemon Egg

You can get an egg containing one of the Sinnoh starter Pokemon by talking to Jacq in Kitakami. You must have the Teal Mask DLC in order to get this egg.

Unfortunately, only one Sinnoh starter egg can be obtained per save file. You will have to trade to get the other Sinnoh starters or transfer them from another game.

Where is Jacq in Kitakami?

Outside of Mossui Town

Map Location
In-Game Appearance

You can find Jacq outside of Mossui Town on the east side.

You will have to exit the village. Go past the bridge and through the red arch on the path. You will then see Jacq on the right, under a tall tree.

Talk to him to start a cut scene where he will gift you with an egg that contains a Starter from the Sinnoh Region.

The egg that you receive from Jacq will hatch into one of three starters from the Sinnoh Region. The starter Pokemon you receive will be random, hatching into either Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup.

You will still need to hatch the egg with the required number of steps. It is recommended that you have a Pokemon in your party with the Flame Body Ability to reduce the amount of steps needed.

The starter Pokemon you receive can be evolved if you want to have either Torterra, Infernape, or Empoleon on your team. Note that these Pokemon are not required to complete either your Kitakami Pokedex or your Paldea Pokedex.

Starter Has Random Stats and Regular Ability

The starter that hatches from the egg will have a random Nature and random IVs. It will also have its regular Ability and not the hidden one.

Turtwig will have Overgrow, Chimchar will have Blaze, and Piplup will have Torrent as its Ability.
