From September 29, 2023 to October 1, 2023, players were able to encounter Clefairy in Paldea and Kitakami at an increased spawn rate! Clefairy encountered at these Mass Outbreaks had a boosted chance of having the Upbeat Mark!
Mass Outbreak Events Schedule and Calendar
The Harvest Moon is the full moon that appears near the September Equinox, with this year's harvest moon being a super moon appearing on September 29.
Expect to see outbreaks of Clefairy performing their Moon-Viewing Party throughout Paldea and Kitakami, and you may even get a chance to catch one with the Upbeat Mark!
To join this mass outbreak event and spawn Clefairy en masse, you will need to connect your game to the Internet to update the game data. Once done, Clefairy should start appearing on your map!
To connect to the Internet, simply press the X button to open the menu and press the L button to connect to the Internet.
During the Mass Outbreak Event, caught Clefairy has a higher than usual chance of having the Upbeat Mark, conferring upon them the "the Chipper" Title when used in battles.
Stock up on Sandwiches and Pokeballs to help you catch a Clefairy with the mark you want!
Based on our testing, it seems that there is a 1 in 20, or roughly a 5% chance to catch a Clefairy with the Upbeat Mark. You can also catch Clefairy with other marks, with their spawn rate around 10% if you're not looking to catch a Clefairy with an Upbeat Mark specifically.
Data is based on our preliminary testing, and will be updated once we learn more!
Since Mass Outbreaks feature increased spawn rates of a specific Pokemon, this is a good time to hunt for a Shiny Variant of Clefairy!
Make and consume Sparkling Power Sandwiches, and use the Picnic Reset Method to make your shiny hunt easier!

The Upbeat Mark is a Personality mark that confers the "the Chipper" Title when equipped on a Pokemon.
Normally, there is roughly a 1/100 chance to find a Pokemon with the Upbeat Mark in the wild. Make use of the event, and further increase your chances with sandwiches to catch yourself some rare Pokemon with extra added flair with titles!
