Ability and Held Item
Zero to Hero is Palafin's only Ability, and gives it a massive boost to its offensive stats upon switching out and back in again.
Having Mystic Water as its Held Item makes Palafin's already boosted moves even stronger.
Mystic Water naturally synergizes with Palafin's Moveset and Ability, as it is designed to deal maximum damage with its Water Type moves.
Moves Breakdown
Jet Punch is one of Palafin's main attacking moves, which allows it to deal decent STAB damage with +1 priority. This is also great against fast, physically frail Pokemon like Flutter Mane.
Wave Crash is Palafin's most powerful move, which allows it to deal approximately twice the damage of Jet Punch, with the drawback of having regular priority and receiving recoil damage.
Haze allows Palafin to reset all of the stat changes of surrounding Pokemon.
Protect is good for turns where Palafin is likely to be targeted or you are using a spread move with your other Pokemon, which would also otherwise hit Palafin.
Best Tera Type
This build makes use of Tera Water to boost its already powerful Water Type moves.
EV Spread and Nature
EVs are maxed out into HP and Attack to give Palafin as much health points and offensive power as possible, with the remaining 4 EVs put into Defense so that it can better take physical attacks.
