Maushold Evolution and Forms

Maushold Evolution Line
Tandemaus ImageTandemaus Lv. 25: Level up in battle
Maushold ImageMaushold

Tandemaus Only Evolves Through Battle EXP

To evolve your Tandemaus into a Maushold, you must level it up to 25 or higher through battle. You can battle wild Pokemon, Pokemon Trainers, Gym Leaders, and other characters to earn enough EXP to level up Tandemaus.

Tandemaus does not need to be an active participant in the battle. It only needs to be in your party in order to gain EXP from the battle. However, Tandemaus will not let you know that it has evolved into Maushold if you don't use it actively in battle. Make sure to check your party if it has evolved.

Note that you cannot use EXP Candy to level up and evolve into Maushold. However, you can use Exp. Candy XS to increase your Tandemaus's EXP a little bit, so that you'll only need to battle one or two Pokemon in order to evolve.

The Form of Maushold Upon Evolving Will Vary

Family of Three Form Family of Four Form

Maushold will either evolve into its Family of Three or Family of Four form at random. Although there is no difference in abilities or stats between the two forms, those who have a particular preference, or want to completely fill out their Pokedex should take this in mind when evolving their Tandemaus.

Maushold Location

Evolve-Only Pokemon

Maushold is an Evolution Exclusive Pokemon

In the base game, Maushold is a Pokemon that does not appear in the wild and can only be acquired by evolving a Tandemaus.
