In the November 8 Trailer, two mysterious Pokemon resembling Donphan were shown, with Great Tusk fitting the prehistoric past theme of Scarlet, and Iron Treads fitting the futuristic robotic theme of Violet.

Great Tusk and Iron Treads will be depicted in the Scarlet Book and the Violet Book respectively, and each of the two Pokemon will only be available in the game matching its Book.

Tera Raid Battle Events - Eevee Spotlight

Upon the release of the game, Tera Raid Battle events will allow players to encounter specific Pokemon and their Tera Types more frequently.

The first Tera Raid Battle event is the Eevee Spotlight that will be available from November 24 to November 27, 2022. Eevee and its different Tera Types will appear more frequently during Tera Raid Battles during this event.

Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles

It has also been confirmed that players can encounter Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles by approaching black crystals they may find all throughout the Paldea region. Pokemon found in these black Tera crystals are much more powerful and grant more valuable rewards!

The first Black Crystal Tera Raid event will be Mightiest Mark, where Charizard with a Dragon Tera Type will appear. This event will be available from December 1-4, 2022 and again at December 15-18, 2022.

In the trailer, Pokemon that are Terastallized with a Dragon Tera Type were shown to have a crown with a figurehead of a crimson-winged dragon.

1.0.1 Version Update Will Drop Upon Official Release

The 1.0.1 update is planned to come out right after the official release of the game, so be sure to download version 1.0.1 update to access Online Play and enjoy Multiplayer mode with friends and family!

Battle Against Trainers in the Worldwide Battle Stadium

It has been confirmed that players can battle against other trainers from all over the world through the Battle Stadium.

Players can join Casual and Ranked Battles, and these will be available on December 2022. Online Competitions will be released in Spring 2023.

In-Game Rotom Phone Cases

Players who have saved data from previous Pokemon titles will received Rotom Phone cases in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with designs inspired from the previous games they have played.

Updates on Pokemon HOME

Battle Stadium statistics in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be viewable from Pokemon HOME mobile. Players will be able to view rankings, frequently used Pokemon, online competitions, and more. Pokemon HOME will be compatible to the upcoming titles in early 2023.

Using the trailers leading up to Pokemon Sword and Shield as reference we're hoping we get similar info for Scarlet and Violet as the one in the trailer above.

More In-Depth info on the Terastal Phenomenon

The 5th trailer of Pokemon Sword and Shield focused mainly on how the Dynamax phenomenon could expand into the Gigantamax phenomenon and featured several Gigantamax evolutions. If there were more to the Terastal gimmick than we already know, this would likely be the trailer that would reveal it!

With only a little more than a week before the games officially release, there is still surprisingly little we know about the Pokemon that are in the game. This is great to preserve the surprise of new Pokemon, but we're hoping to at least have a bit more info on the starters to make our decisions easier!
