Trade 10 Sinistea Chips for the Malicious Armor in Zapapico

Zapapico Location
Northeast of the Great Crater

Charcadet can evolve into Armarouge in Pokemon Scarlet, or Ceruledge in Pokemon Violet. A man in a town called Zapapico will trade you Malicious Armor for 10 Sinistea Chips in Pokemon Violet.

To reach Zapapico, you must have the Swim Upgrade for Miraidon, which is unlocked by defeating the Flying Titan, Bombirdier, on the west end of the map.

Best Sinistea Location

Sinistea Location
Southwest corner of the map

Wild Sinistea drop 1-2 Sinistea Chips when defeated or caught, which are needed to trade for the Malicious Armor, which can evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge in Pokemon Violet.

Although Sinistea is available right outside Zapapico, they are in small numbers, and even after eating a Sandwich which boosts Ghost-type Pokemon Encounters, you'll have a tough time getting 10 Chips. The most reliable location is the Ruins in South Province (Area Six), which are difficult to reach, and requires the Jump Upgrade via defeating the Steel Titan, Orthworm, near Zapapico.

To get there, go south along the path from the West Province (Area One) - Central Pokemon Center, until you reach a cave with high level Pokemon – you'll find the town of Alfornado on the other end, where the Ruins are.

Ceruledge Location

Only Found via Evolution

Ceruledge can only be found by evolving Charcadet via the Evolution method above. If you have found another method to obtain Ceruledge, please let us know in the comments!

Ceruledge's Evolution Item is Exclusive to Pokemon Violet

You can only get Ceruledge if you're playing Pokemon Violet, since the Malicious Armor needed to evole Charcadet is exclusive to the game.

If you're playing Pokemon Scarlet, you can only evolve your Charcadet into Armarouge with Auspicious Armor instead. That's why we recommend trading with friends for Malicious Armor with an Auspicious Armor of your own.

Note that Ceruledge's Moveset for the story greatly differs from its Competitive Moveset.

Should You Terastallize Ceruledge?

Terastallized Pokemon gain a 1.5x damage bonus to moves of their Tera Type, while also removing weaknesses and resistances from their original typings while maintaining those typings' STAB.

Tera Types Explained

Ceruledge Best Nature

Nature & Stat Changes Explanation
Adamant
Attack, SpAtk
High Damage Focus

Setting Ceruledge's Nature to Adamant can further increase its already high base Attack stat of 125. Pairing this with Moves like Swords Dance and high power physical Moves can easily one-shot foes with ease.
Jolly
Speed, SpAtk
Speedy Sweeper

Alternatively, since Ceruledge's base Attack stat is already high, players may want to focus on increasing its Speed stat instead by setting its Nature to Jolly. Doing this can increase chances of Ceruledge making the first move, giving you a headstart in battle.
