The Voltorb, Foongus, and Hisuian Voltorb Mass Outbreak is now over. The event ran from February 23, 2024 until February 27, 2024 and lead up to Pokemon Day 2024!

Voltorb, Hisuian Voltorb, and Foongus found in these Mass Outbreaks had a higher chance of being shiny!
Mass Outbreak Events Schedule and Pokemon
Mystery Pokemon is Hisuian Voltorb
The mystery Pokemon was Hisuian Voltorb. You can make out the raised eybrow and the distinguishable wooden color of its underside from the teaser.
This was a great way to get one if you don't have access to Pokemon Legends: Arceus as the only way to get one in Scarlet and Violet is through transfer via Pokemon HOME.

Just like with other Mass Outbreak events, an update will be available through the internet before the event can show up on your maps.
Make sure to update your game when the outbreak starts by connecting to the Internet. To do so, you can follow these steps:
- Press the X button to open the menu.
- Select “Poke Portal.”
- Connect to the Internet by pessing the L button.
Increased Shiny Odds Mass Outbreak Event
Voltorb, Hisuian Voltorb, and Foongus in These Mass Outbreaks Have an Increased Shiny Chance!
Since Mass Outbreaks feature increased spawn rates of a specific Pokemon, this is a good time to hunt for a Shiny Variant of Voltorb, Hisuian Voltorb, and Foongus!
Make and consume Sparkling Power Sandwiches, and use the Picnic Reset Method to make your shiny hunt easier!

Since Mass Outbreaks feature increased spawn rates of a specific Pokemon, this is a good time to hunt for a Shiny Pokemon with a special Mark!
Stock up on Sandwiches and Poke Balls to help you catch a Pokemon with the Mark you want!
Do note that the Pokemon featured in this Mass Outbreak Event do not have boosted Mark rates.
