Trade Pokemon Materials to Evolve Charcadet

Zapapico Location
Northeast of the Great Crater of Paldea

There is no required level to evolve Charcadet, you only need to use an Auspicious Armor or Malicious Armor that you can get from a person in Zapapico.

To reach Zapapico, you must have the Swim Upgrade for Koraidon or Miraidon, which is unlocked by defeating the Flying Titan Bombirdier, on the west end of the map.

Bronzor Fragments or Sinistea Chips Evolve Charcadet

Charcadet will evolve into Armarouge upon using the Auspicious Armor, and it will evolve into Ceruledge upon using the Malicious Armor.

You can get the Auspicious Armor in Pokemon Scarlet for 10 Bronzor Fragments and the Malicious Armor in Pokemon Violet for 10 Sinistea Chips by trading them with the person in Zapapico.

How to Get Bronzor Fragments and Sinistea Chips

Bronzor Fragment Locations

Bronzor Location
West of the Dark-Type Team Star Leader: Giacomo

Get Bronzor Fragments by defeating or capturing the Bronzor found at the Ruins of in West Province (Area One). There are a lot of them and do not require any Ride Upgrades to access.

Sinistea Chips Locations

Sinistea Location
Southwest corner of the map, near Alfornada

Although Sinistea is available right outside Zapapico, they are in small number, and even after eating a Sandwich which boosts Ghost-type Pokemon Encounters, you'll have a tough time finding them. The most reliable location is the Ruins in Alfornada of South Province (Area Six).

You can go to Alfornada by either entering a cave tunnel that requires the High Jump Ride Feature of Koraidon and Miraidon, or by taking the mountain passage by the beach if you do not have this feature yet.

Multiple Habitats but Low Spawn Rate

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Charcadet Easy to Find at Night.png

Charcadet has multiple natural habitats across Paldea, but its spawn rate is low. In addition, they are small and difficult to find.

We recommend catching them while searching around grassy areas as night for better visibility, during raids, or by preparing sandwiches with Meal Powers to increase your likelihood of capturing Fire-type Pokemon.

Found in West Province Area One

Charcadet may spawn in a certain area within West Province (Area One) as shown in the map above. This is one of the areas where you can find this Pokemon during the early game.

Picnic Table Method Force Respawns Charcadet Fast

Setting up a picnic will reset the Pokemon that spawn nearby. As long as you are within Charcadet's spawn range, you can do this method constantly until the Pokemon appears.

Who Should You Evolve Charcadet Into?

Ceruledge Evolution Is Better

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV Ceruledge.png

Both evolutions are version exclusive, so you cannot really choose which evolution you want unless you do not have the game yet. However, Armarouge seems underwhelming compared to its ghostly counterpart.

In the head to head match up, Ceruledge's Fire-Ghost Typing trumps Armarouge's Fire-Psychic Typing. Ceruledge's new move, Bitter Blade is also sure to see some usage as the first HP restoring Fire Type attack for the series.

Although, Armarouge and Ceruledge both have excellent designs and typings. As evident from their appearance, Armarouge is exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet, and Ceruledge is exclusive to Pokemon Violet.

Would have been more exciting if it was found in an egg.

In there a benefit to having it evolve into one or the other?
