A strong Dark-type like Hydreigon flourishes in a format with many powerful Ghost-types. Hydreigon is particularly well-suited for Steel Tera as it can use boosted Flash Cannon, as well as turn its Fairy-type weakness into a resistance. Substiture lets Hydreigon punish opponents who play too passively.

A Timid Nature with max Speed investment allows Hydreigon to always outspeed Jolly Mimikyu.

This set is able to use Trick to choice lock an opponent into a move and then set up with Nasty Plot.

Tera Normal lets Gholdengo win against other Gholdengo, being completely immune to Shadow Ball.

Stealth Rock
Yawn

One of the tankier members of the team, Gastrodon was chosen because of its ability to use both Yawn and Stealth Rock.

Surf is used over Recover as it gives Gastrodon an option against Air Balloon Gholdengo, who would otherwise completely wall it. If it choice locks into Shadow Ball, Tera Normal Gastrodon can wall Gholdengo instead.

Being able to use a Water-type Move is also important, as there are plenty of Water-weak Pokemon in the format.
