This is a variation of the Sylveon our team built for Tera Raids. The main differences are its EV Spread being more focused on Speed and Defense as well as Special Attack, and having it hold an Amulet Coin instead of a Metronome.
Simply move Hyper Voice to the top of your Sylveon's moveset and mash the A Button to keep the money from trainers flowing into your pockets. Amulet Coin is there to double the amount of money trainers give to you after a battle.
Take note of the Speed stat, which will make Sylveon outspeed anything in the Academy Ace Tournament including Nemona's Meowscarada (if you picked Fuecoco as a starter) and Arven's Jolteon. This will ensure you will have a smoother time when you farm the event for money.
How to Make Best Sylveon for Money Farming |
---|
|
Though the easiest way to catch a Sylveon is to get the one in Area Three of North Province, you will still need an Ability Patch to change its Hidden Ability to Pixilate.
If you don't have an Ability Patch, or can't get one yet because you have yet to finish the game, it will be easier to evolve an Eevee with the Anticipation Hidden Ability into a Sylveon instead.
To catch an Eevee quickly, farm Tera Raids and check if the Pokemon you'll face is an Eevee. You can only get Pokemon with Hidden Abilities from Tera Raids, and Eevees appear in them more often than Sylveons.
Tera Raid Battle Guide and How to Win
If your Sylveon has a different nature, you can use a Modest Mint to change its nature to Modest.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
How to Change a Pokemon's Nature
If you have the money for it, you can buy 25 Calcium, 18 Carbos, and 7 Iron to raise your Sylveon's EVs. All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop for ₽10,000 each, or ₽500,000 in total.
Alternatively, you can use Power Items that you can buy at a Delibird Presents shop for ₽10,000 each. Have your Pokemon hold the respective Power Item while defeating the Pokemon listed below.
Held Item | Number of Pokemon to Defeat | Defeat Any of These Pokemon |
---|---|---|
Power Lens
(For Special Attack EVs) |
28 in Total (To get 252 Sp.Atk EVs) |
・Psyduck ・Toxel ・Hatenna Location: South Province (Area 4) |
Power Anklet
(For Speed EVs) |
20 in Total (To get 180 Speed EVs) |
・Rookidee Location: South Province (Area 3) |
Power Belt
(For Defense EVs) |
9 in Total (To get 78 Defense EVs) |
・Tarountula Location: South of Los Platos |
After EV training your Sylveon, head to Montenevera and talk to the man with an Abomasnow near the Pokemon Center. He will hyper train your Pokemon using Bottle Caps.
A Bottle Cap can be bought at the Delibird Presents shops for ₽20,000 after getting 6 Gym Badges. 1 Bottle Cap is needed for each stat that will be maxed out.
If you have a Gold Bottle Cap, the man will max out all of your Pokemon's stats. Get these either from auctions at Porto Marinada or as a reward from the Academy Ace Tournament.
Hyper Training: How to Increase IVs
Next, level up your Sylveon to 100 to maximize its stats. The easiest way to do this is by farming Exp candies from Tera Raid Battles.
How to Level Up Fast: EXP Farming Guide
Finally, give your Sylveon an Amulet Coin, which will double the amount of money you earn from trainer battles.
You can get it by defeating 5 Pokemon trainers in West Province (Area Three) and then talking to the Battle League Rep at the eastern Pokemon Center in Medali. The rep will give you the Amulet Coin as a reward.
Amulet Coin Location and How to Get
You can get Hyper Voice, Misty Terrain, Shadow Ball, and Fake Tears from TMs. Check out the table below to see where you can get the TMs and the materials needed to craft them.
TM / Move Name | How to Get Materials |
---|---|
TM003 Fake Tears |

TM114 Shadow Ball |
Reward for clearing the Montenevera Gym. Required League Points: 8000 LP Required Pokemon Materials: ・Gastly Gas x5 ・Sandygast Sand x3 ・Sinistea Chip x3 |
TM117 Hyper Voice |
Found on the mountain right next to where you'll find the scaffolding on the northern side of East Province (Area Three). Required League Points: 8000 LP Required Pokemon Materials: ・Litleo Tuft x5 ・Skwovet Fur x3 ・Tandemaus Fur x3 |
TM139 Misty Terrain |
Found on Tagtree Thicket, east section. Required League Points: 3000 LP Required Pokemon Materials: ・Igglybuff Fluff x3 ・Flabébé Pollen x3 ・Klefki Key x3 |
As we said earlier, move Hyper Voice to the top of Sylveon's moveset. This is so you can keep pressing A without having to wiggle the analog sticks to choose the move.
Hyper Voice only has 10 PP (Power Points), meaning you can only use it 10 times before having to use Ethers or bringing Sylveon to a Pokemon Center.
But you can raise the move's PPs to a maximum of 16 by using PP Ups. One PP Up increases Hyper Voice's Power Points by 2. Buy them from Chansey Supply shops for ₽10,000 each.
One PP Max will also max out Sylveon's Hyper Voice PPs. You can buy it from Porto Marinada auctions or win it as a reward from the Academy Ace Tournament.
The best place to use your Sylveon is the Academy Ace Tournament. If it is at level 100 and has Hyper Voice with max PPs, it will smash and outspeed every other Pokemon in the event. Farm the tournament repeatedly and make sure to have an Amulet Coin for max profit.
For the most possible income per tournament, bring Hisuian Zoroark with Happy Hour along with Sylveon to double the money obtained.
For a smoother money farming experience, have Sylveon as the only Pokemon on your team so the game doesn't ask if you want to switch it out every time you defeat an enemy Pokemon.
To unlock the Academy Ace Tournament, you'll have to finish the game and rematch 8 Gym Leaders. So get going!
Prize Money Comparison | ||
---|---|---|
Amount Earned | Sylveon + Zoroark | Solo Sweeper |
Per Trainer Battle | Around ₽54,400 | Around ₽52,800 |
Total Earned Per Tournament | Around ₽217,600 | Around ₽105,600 |
₽/min | ₽14,000/min | Around ₽7,800/min |
The above times and money earned were the average actual experience of Game8's play testers. The total amount earned and time to defeat will vary depending on the players' input speed and opponent.
Compared to the solo farming strategy, this strategy requires more preparation, including getting and building a Hisuian Zoroark with Happy Hour which is quite tedious to obtain. This strategy also requires following certain steps, unlike the solo strategy where you only need to repeatedly use the same move.
If you can, get your hands on a rapid-fire controller set to the A Button so you can do something else in the meantime while your Sylveon earns you Pokedollars.
This Farm build is now out of date/killed. They updated the Tournament: leveled everyone's pokemon to lvl 80 or close to lvl 80. More pokemon running poison and steel moves to kill sylveon.
