The Master Ball is a Poke Ball with a guaranteed catch rate and can be obtained a limited number of times in the story, but more can be rarely obtained in the Poke Ball Lotto in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV). Check out more details about the Master Ball's effects and how to get it here.

You can obtain a Master Ball once you have beaten the entire game. Director Clavell will be the one who will give it to you in his office, and you can get it after watching the credits roll!
A Master Ball can be received as a reward after registering 240 Pokemon in the Blueberry Pokedex.
To claim the reward, press the X button in the Blueberry Pokedex menu to open the Pokedex Rewards menu. Then press the X button again to claim the reward.

There is a chance of obtaining a Master Ball if the Poke Ball Lotto activates randomly as you do print jobs for the Item Printer.
Note that the Item Printer is available only on The Indigo Disk DLC.

Note that you need to have the Poke Ball Lotto active first before you can get any Poke Ball reward.
The Item Printer was found to generate items the second you press the "I want to print something" text. This can then be exploited by changing your Nintendo Switch's internal time and obtain prints that are consistent and can be replicated by anyone.

After reaching post-game, you will be able to catch a second Koraidon in Pokemon Scarlet or a second Miraidon in Pokemon Violet. Story-wise, this was the separate Box Legendary that you encountered during The Way Home.
Since the first Koraidon or Miraidon that you received from Arven wasn't captured traditionally as he gives it to you directly, you can use your Master Ball to catch your second one.
Post-Game Grind: What Should You Grind For?
Chances may be low but there is still a real possibility that you may encounter Shiny Pokemon that can use either Self-Destruct or Explosion while you are battling it.
It is recommended to not take your chances and let it all blow up on your face but instead capture any Shiny Pokemon that can use this moves with your Master Ball!

If you're willing to wait, it is also wise to save the Master Ball you obtained from the base game to capture the Legendary Pokemon featured in the two DLCs, The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.
This was the case in Pokemon Sword and Shield's The Crown Tundra expansion, where new Legendary Pokemon were introduced.
