    It seems they have a chance to respawn each in game day. I've been checking all my towers pretty regularly and they only seem to respawn after long play periods like you suggest.

    In Area 2 of the North Province there are 10 roaming Ghimmighoul coins that respawn on top of the Pokecentre.

    They have a 5 percent chance of respawning every real life day

    From what I have seen (400+ game hours) GImmighoul chests do not respawn. I believe the game update did reset them though. Roaming form is usually a few hours minimum

    I have certainly had Gimmighoul chests respawn, but I am not certain what triggered the respawns. There were only two things I had done an unusual amount. First, my game had previously been on for more than 12 hours while I auto-farmed the Academy Ace tournament with a turbo controller. Second, it was while I was running around collecting a lot of roaming Gimmighoul without any fast-traveling.

    It's been about a week (day or release --> today) and my chests on top of the watchtowers have NOT respawned.

    Not even kidding, the gimmighoul i interacted with at peak of the glaseado mountain gave me 60 coins. It was the roaming form.

    Don't know what the requirement was but, the first Gimmighoul I fought respawned after either 2 1/2 hours or when the day changed in my time zone.
