Tandemaus Evolution: How to Evolve

Tandemaus Evolution Line
Tandemaus ImageTandemaus Lv. 25: Level up in battle
Maushold ImageMaushold

Tandemaus Only Evolves Through Battle EXP

To evolve your Tandemaus into a Maushold, you must level it up to 25 or higher through battle. You can battle wild Pokemon, Pokemon Trainers, Gym Leaders, and other characters to earn enough EXP to level up Tandemaus.

Tandemaus does not need to be an active participant in the battle. It only needs to be in your party in order to gain EXP from the battle. However, Tandemaus will not let you know that it has evolved into Maushold if you don't use it actively in battle. Make sure to check your party if it has evolved.

Note that you cannot use EXP Candy to level up and evolve into Maushold. However, you can use Exp. Candy XS to increase your Tandemaus's EXP a little bit, so that you'll only need to battle one or two Pokemon in order to evolve.

The Form of Maushold Upon Evolving Will Vary

Family of Three Form Family of Four Form

Tandemaus will either evolve into the Maushold Family of Three or Family of Four form at random. Although there is no difference in abilities or stats between the two forms, those who have a particular preference, or want to completely fill out their Pokedex should take this in mind when evolving their Tandemaus.

Check the Map for Tandemaus Icon

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Tandemaus Map Icon
The earliest you can find wild Tandemaus is by the area outside of Artazon.

Tandemaus is quite rare, so make sure to check your map to see if you are nearby a Tandemaus spawn area. Tandemaus is also quite small and can blend well with the grass, so search on foot, instead of being mounted to easily spot wild Tandemaus!

Use the Picnic Table Method to Spawn Tandemaus Fast

You can use the Picnic Table Method to reset the Pokemon that spawn nearby. As long as you are within Tandemaus' spawn range, you can do this method constantly until the Pokemon appears.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Make a Sandwich to Increase Its Spawn Rate
