Chilly Reception Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Ice Type Moves The user switches out with another Pokemon in the party and summons a snowstorm that lasts for five turns.
Rain Dance Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Water Type Moves Activates Rain for five turns.
Sandstorm Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Rock Type Moves Activates a sandstorm for five turns.
Snowscape Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Ice Type Moves Activates a snowstorm for five turns and boosts Defense of Ice types while active.
Sunny Day Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Fire Type Moves Activates Sunshine for 5 turns.

All Weather Effects

Snow Effects

Snow increases the Defense of all Ice-type Pokemon by 1.5x. This also changes the move Weather Ball into an ice-type move and doubles its power.

Diamond Dust Has No In-Battle Effect

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Diamond Dust

A special weather phenomenon called Diamond Dust can appear randomly in the overworld. Note that this is purely visual and does not have any in-battle effects, as it behaves like Hail during battles.

Rain Effects

Rain increases the damage of water-type moves by 50% while fire-type moves are decreased by 50%. This also changes the move Weather Ball into a water-type move and doubles its power.

Sandstorm Effects

Sandstorms damage all non-Rock, Ground, or Steel-type Pokemon each turn. The Special Defense stat of Rock-type Pokemon is increased by 50% during a Sandstorm. This also changes the move Weather Ball into a rock-type move and doubles its power.

Harsh Sunlight Effects

Harsh Sunlight increases the damage of fire-type moves by 50%, while water-type moves are decreased by 50%. This also changes the move Weather Ball into a fire-type move and doubles its power.
