Ogerpon changes forms depending on what mask it is holding. Its signature move Ivy Cudgel will also change its type depending on its current form.

When Ogerpon Terastalizes, it activates its second ability Embody Aspect and raises one of its stats depending on its held mask.

1.2x Damage Boost to All Damaging Moves

When Ogrepon has a Mask Held Item (Wellspring Mask, Hearthflame Mash, or Cornerstone Mask, not the Teal Mask base form), it receives an additional 20% damage boost on all moves, regardless of whether they are STAB or not.

This bonus also applies even if Ogrepon is not Terastallized. This amounts to a total of a 1.7x damage boost when accounting for STAB + Mask Boost. If Terastallized and using a move which matches the Tera Type, this reaches up to a 2.2x Damage boost!

State when Attacking Damage Boost
Holding Mask 1.2x
Holding Mask + using a STAB move 1.7x
Holding Mask + using a STAB move + Terastallized (if Tera Type matches Move type) 2.2x

How to Change Mask Form

Give a Mask from Other Items Pouch as Held Item

Pokemon SV - Ogerpon Change Wellspring Mask

Ogerpon changes forms depending on what mask it is holding. Go to the Other Items pouch in your bag and give Ogerpon a mask to hold to change its form. All of the Masks are automatically obtained when you catch Ogerpon as part of the Teal Mask main story.

Remove Held Item to Change to Teal Mask

To change Ogerpon back to its Teal Mask form, remove its held mask and it will change back automatically.
