After arriving at the academy, you will be given the option to choose between either the Victory Road, Path of Legends, and the Starfall Street storylines. Unlike previous Pokemon entries, the order in which you choose to progress is entirely up to you.
Step No. | What to Do |

1 | Talk to the fortune teller on the main road in Mesagoza. |
2 | You can receive a unique Rotom Phone case based on the save data of your other Pokemon games. |
By talking to the fortune teller found on the main staircase in Mesagoza, you can receive unique Rotom Phone cases if you have save data from other Pokemon games on your Nintendo Switch. These skins cannot be purchased at shops, so make sure to not delete save data from previous Pokemon games before getting these rare accessories.

Over in Western Mesagoza, there's a hiker woman standing at the plaza in front of the Pokemon Center. Start a conversation with her, and she'll offer to measure a Pokemon of your choosing. She'll tell you whether it's small, average, or big for its species. If you're ever interested in finding out how big your Pokemon are, then give her a visit!
Make sure to take the time to explore Mesagoza after arriving at the academy, as TMs for many powerful moves can be found within the city. Powerful attacks, such as Ice Fang and Electro Ball, in particular, can be found before proceeding with the main story.
The academy is fairly large and contains a lot of students and faculty that you can interact with. Don't worry if you do not manage to do everything in one go, as you can always return to the academy at any time.
Naranja and Uva Academy: Locations and Characters
The Biology professor, Jacq, is the developer of Paldea's Pokedex and will reward you every time you visit him after catching a certain amount of Pokemon. Make sure to see him when you get 30, 100, 200, and 400 Pokemon to receive your rewards.
How to Complete the Pokedex and Rewards
The academy also has a school store and a cafeteria that every student can make use of. Players can buy battle items at the school store, and purchase sandwiches at the cafeteria.
You can also take classes on a variety of subjects related to Pokemon at the academy. Each subject has a test, that if you pass will reward you with items such as Exp. Candy.
While you can only take a few classes at the start of the game, progressing through the game's story will increase the number of classes available over time.
Once you're done with the classes, you can visit your teachers at different spots around the academy and help solve their problems. Not only do you make close bonds with your teachers, but you can also get pretty good rewards for completing their friendship events.
Teacher Friendship Events, Quests, and Rewards
When you've completed the game and rematched 8 Gym Leaders, you'll be able to participate in the Academy Ace Tournament. This event is a repeatable battle tournament where you'll be facing off against four random faculty members and students from the academy.
Because of its nature as a repeatable battle event, you can gain lots of EXP and money from winning. If you have the right Pokemon at your disposal, you can even win the tournament just by mashing the A Button.
