Best Sinistea Location

Sinistea Location
Southwest corner of the map, near Alfornada

Although Sinistea is available right outside Zapapico, they are in small number, and even after eating a Sandwich which boosts Ghost-type Pokemon Encounters, you'll have a tough time finding them. The most reliable location is the Ruins in Alfornada of South Province (Area Six).

You can go to Alfornada by either entering a cave tunnel that requires the High Jump Ride Feature of Koraidon and Miraidon, or by taking the mountain passage by the beach if you do not have this feature yet.

How to get to Sinistea's location

No. Steps to Get There
1
Start from the Pokemon Center at West Province (Area One).
2
Make your way up the cliff.
3
Follow along the cliffside until you see the shoreline.
4
Drop down and move along the shoreline.
5
Follow the arrow and head up the rocky path.
6
Enter through the large cave opening and go straight ahead.
7
Turn right at the first corner.
8
Turn right at the second corner.
9
After passing an NPC, enter the small cave.
10
Exit from the cave and go straight ahead to the Pokemon Center.

10 Sinistea Chips Evolves Charcadet into Ceruledge

Zapapico Location
Northeast of the Great Crater of Paldea

Wild Sinistea drop 1-2 Sinistea Chips when defeated or caught. A man in Zapapico will trade you Malicious Armor for 10 Sinistea Chips. This Malicious Armor can be used to evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge in Pokemon Violet.

Is your Sinistea a Phony or Authentic?

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Sinistea Phony Form Pokedex

Evolving your Sinistea to a Polteageist can depend if you got its Phony form or Authentic form. A Phony Sinistea would need a Cracked Pot to evolve, while the Authentic one needs a Chipped Pot.

To know what form you have, an Authentic Sinistea will have a Stamp of Authenticity found on the underside of the cup. You can check this by rotating the overworld camera.

Confirming with a Pokedex is Faster

The Pokedex also indicates the form you got right after catching it as shown above. We recommend the best method to get an Authentic form Sinistea is to keep catching as much as you can until the Pokedex confirms you caught an Authentic one, as checking each one with the camera may take longer.

Question... It is possible to check if the Sinistea is authentic before catching it? Or the seal only shows up after you catching it... Because I defeated around 300 Sinistea and no authentic yet... Counting that the seal shows on the overworld before catching... If not well I'm stupid I guess.

1 turpinatorabout 2 years

You do not need the jump upgrade to reach the mountainous area in the bottom left-hand corner of the map. There is a path on the furthest left edge beside the sea that takes you directly there without any special abilities needed. Just need to jump off the cliff from the intended path right before the cave.
