Gallade Best Moveset for the Story

Psychic Slasher Moveset

Best Tera Type
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Psychic Type Moves
Best Nature Adamant ( Attack, SpAtk)
Best Ability Sharpness
Best Held Item
Moveset Psycho Cut
Agility
Close Combat
Swords Dance

Gallade already has a high base Attack stat and decent Speed, so it's good to capitalize on that with an Adamant Nature and Muscle Band that'll boost its Attack stat further. Sharpness will also boost its Psycho Cut move on top of all these buffs.

Meanwhile, Close Combat is a powerful fallback move. But remember that the move also lowers Gallade's Defense and Special Defense, so make sure your opponent will go down in one hit before using it.

Weakness Protection:
Pokemon who use a Tera Type to reduce or remove one of their critical weaknesses.

Should You Terastallize Gallade?

Terastallized Pokemon gain a 1.5x damage bonus to moves of their Tera Type, while also removing weaknesses and resistances from their original typings while maintaining those typings' STAB.

Tera Types Explained

Gallade Best Nature

Nature & Stat Changes Explanation
Adamant
Atk, SpAtk
Psychic Slasher

Giving Gallade an Adamant Nature will give a good boost to its Attack stat, which will be further augmented by its Sharpness Ability and Muscle Band. Use Psycho Cut as its main attack, and keep Close Combat in reserve for extra firepower. Use Swords Dance whenever possible, and Agility when you think the enemy is much faster than you.
Jolly
Speed, SpAtk
Speedy Sweeper

If you don't want extra setup and be fast from the start, giving Gallade a Jolly nature will give it a boost in Speed. It will do good damage since Gallade's Attack stat is high already, though it won't hurt to use Swords Dance now and then to give your attacks extra power.
