Wiglett greatly resembles Diglett with their similar facial structures and round, cylindrical bodies. They both stick out of the ground, and even have similar evolution forms by turning into a trio of pokemon.

However, Wiglett is white and has a longer frame. The former also lives by the shore and sports a Water typing, while Diglett is of a Ground type.

Often Found by the Shore and Sandy Areas

Wigletts are fairly common and can even be found early on in the game. They can be spotted by the shore on sandy beaches. However, they hide under the sand as soon as they spot you and will not come up until you go away.

Sneak Up on Wigletts to Prevent them From Hiding

Position yourself so that you are behind the Wiglett you want to catch. Lock on to it with the ZL button and then toss a pokeball at it by pressing the ZR button to begin a battle.
