Cannot Evolve Wild Haunter into Gengar

You cannot evolve a wild Haunter naturally into a Gengar, and there is no Linking Cord in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that is used for special evolutions.

If you want to get a Gengar fast, trading with other players is the surest and fastest way to do so.

How to Trade Locally and Online

Levincia Woman Trades Haunter that Evolves into Gengar

A woman from Levincia will give your her Haunter if you trade a Pincurchin in return. This is the only Haunter in the game that can naturally evolve into a Gengar. The Haunter evolves automatically into Gengar after the trade, and does not have to meet a required level or special conditions in order to do so.
