The Pikachu and Friends Mass Outbreak event featuring Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, Alolan Raichu, and Mimikyu is now live and will run from July 12, 2024 to July 25, 2024.
Pikachu's evolutionary line and Mimikyu will have a boosted chance of being Shiny and will run alongside the 7-Star Pikachu Tera Raid!
Get Alolan Raichu without Transferring!
The Pikachu and Friends Mass Outbreak is your chance to get an Alolan Raichu without transferring from an older generation or from Pokemon GO, so don't miss out on this event!
All Pokemon HOME Transferable Pokemon
Mass Outbreak Locations
The Pikachu and Friends Outbreak Event will be held in all three maps in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Pichu will appear in Paldea, Pikachu and Mimikyu will appear in Kitakami, and Raichu and Alolan Raichu will appear in the Terarium.
This means that only those that have purchased the DLC have access to Pikachu, Mimikyu, Raichu, and Alolan Raichu outbreaks.
Raichu and Alolan Raichu Locked Behind Base Game and Teal Mask Post-Game
The Raichu and Alolan Raichu outbreaks will only appear in The Indigo Disk's Terarium, which is only accessible if you have finished both the base game and The Teal Mask's stories.
That means that if you want to hunt for a Shiny Raichu or Alolan Raichu, you need to finish both the base game and The Teal Mask.
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC
Has Boosted Shiny Chance
The Pikachu and Friends Outbreak Event features boosted Shiny encounter rates. You can further boost your chances of getting Shinies for Pikachu's evolution line with a Level 3 Sparking Power: Electric. For Mimikyu, you can use either a Level 3 Sparkling Power: Ghost or Level 3 Sparkling Power: Fairy sandwiches!

To join this mass outbreak event, you needed to connect your game to the Internet to update the game data. Once done, Pikachu's evolutionary line and Mimikyu should start appearing on your map!
To connect to the Internet, simply press the X button to open the menu and press the L button to connect to the Internet.
