Best Ability Water Absorb

Moveset Megahorn

Earthquake
Yawn

Closdire's high HP and Defense make it function well as a special defender, particularly against Water types since it can heal itself with Water Absorb. Earthquake will be your primary STAB-based attack, while Megahorn will help you against any Psychic and Grass Pokemon that may appear to counter you. Yawn is a great move to exploit water-type users, as you can switch into a water attack for a free heal, put the enemy to sleep, and then switch out if needed. Finally, choose Poison Jab if you prefer another STAB attack, or Toxic if you prefer dealing increasingly potent poison damage to tougher enemies.

Note that Clodsire's Moveset for the story greatly differs from its Competitive Moveset.
