Best Armor Augments and Armor Recommendations
Weak spots are monster parts that have raw hit zone values (HZV) of 45 or higher. Raw HZVs on a specific monster part can vary depending on the raw damage type inflicted on the monster part.
Raw Damage Type | Description |
---|---|
Slicing
(Sword Icon) |
Primarily dealt by bladed weapons such as the Long Sword and Insect Glaive. This damage type also has the ability to sever monster tails. |
Blunt
(Hammer Icon) |
Primarily dealt by blunt weapons such as the Hammer and Hunting Horn. Accumulating this damage type results in flinches, exhaustion, and monster KOs. Shield bashes also do blunt damage. |
Projectile
(Ammo Icon) |
Projectile or shot damage is the primary damage type of all ranged weapons. |
You can check the individual hit zone values of monster parts in the Physiology tab of the Large Monster Hunter Notes.
