Don't Farm Rampage Anymore

MH Rise - Using Dragonators during Rampages

Though Rampage was a mechanic introduced in the base game of MHRise, it is not necessarily good to farm the Rampage weapons in preparation for Sunbreak. It will most likely be replaced by a stronger MR weapon when you reach Master Rank.

Rampage Guide and Tips: How to Get S-Rank

Always Look Out for Ore Upsurges

Upsurge for Mining Outcrops

Money (or Zenny) in MHRise is one of the biggest needs of all hunters. Once you've reached the higher rarity armor and weapons, the Zenny required to craft them would skyrocket! Always make sure to check the expeditions for Mining Outcrop Upsurges so you can farm ore nodes and then sell them for money!

Get Dango Tickets Easily with Steak

MH Rise - Motley Mix Dango Tickets

You can easily farm Dango Tickets using Motley Mix in the canteen. You can do this by buying a bunch of Raw Meats in the Argosy using Kamura Points, then asking the Canteen to cook it into Well-done Steaks. Depending on how much you've cooked, Yomogi will then give you Dango Tickets as a thank you.

Wake Up Hits Deal Double Damage

The first attack that hits a sleeping monster will deal double damage every time so make sure to use a weapon capable of dishing a big burst of damage. Hunters will usually use the final hit of the Great Sword's TCS or the Gunlance's Wyvern Fire Blast.

Also make sure to be careful on hitting a sleeping monster if you're using fast hitting weapons like Dual Blades and Insect Glaives as they tend to not maximize this mechanic.

Bring Palicos in Multiplayer Lobbies

MH Rise Sunbreak - Change Palico Skills

Though Palamutes allow you to zoom through the map quickly, Palicos tend to have better support capability during hunts. Considering you can only bring one (1) Buddy in multiplayer, we suggest taking a Palico over a Palamute for more supportive options.

Take Time to Unlock Sub-Camps

MH Rise Sunbreak - Citadel Sub-camp Location

Sub-camps are your mini-bases that will be placed in strategic locations on the map allowing you to fast travel to them if needed. We suggest unlocking all sub-camps whenever you reach a new area so you won't have to bring your Palamute every time.

Eat the Best Dangos Depending on Your Build

MH Rise Sunbreak - Dango Weaknener Level 4

With the plethora of options we have for Dangos, we are only allowed to take three (3). The Dango combination you will get will need to be tailor-made to your current build, so take time to learn the effects of each dango.

Always Do Qurious Crafting

MH Rise Sunbreak New Qurious Armor Crafting

Qurious Crafting is one of the mechanics introduced in Sunbreak that allows you to have extra skills in your armor. This makes it a lot easier to achieve builds that are otherwise not possible if using just armor slots and decorations.

Trade Rare Drops from the Anomaly Research Lab

Monster Hunter Rise (Sunbreak) - Anomaly Research Lab.png

If you're having trouble getting that rare drop from a certain monster, we suggest checking out the Anomaly Research Lab if they have the Plates, Gem, or Mantles that you need. Far warning though that you need to reach a certain Anomaly Level to unlock the rare drops of more powerful monsters.

Always Keep Your Builds Updated

MH Rise Sunbreak - Slot in Kushala Blessing in Your Build

The beauty of Monster Hunter is that your build will continuously evolve as you go through the game. If you're having trouble with certain monsters, we suggest checking your builds and see if you can upgrade them!
