YES. Burst can be obtained as an extra skill on your armor when you try rolling for skills via Qurious Armor Crafting.
Best Armor Augments and Armor Recommendations
All weapons share the initial boost of 5 raw and element attack once you deal a hit. After continuous attacking for 5 hits, this gets boosted to a higher value. The effects only last around 2 or 3 seconds after the most recent hit, so be sure to get your attacks in within this window.
In the GIF above, the first shot deals an unboosted 78 damage. The next 4 shots deal 79 damage since the raw attack has already been increased. The sixth shot onwards deals 80 damage, as the 5-hit requirement has been satisfied, further increasing the raw attack.
The extra stat boost is different depending on the weapon. In general, ranged weapons get a lower boost because they can easily deal the five hits required to get the extra boost.
