How to Find Frost Islands Relic Records

This is a guide to finding all the Relic Records and Old Messages in Monster Hunter Rise (MH Rise) in the Frost Islands map, and rewards for collecting them all!

Relic Records Detailed Walkthrough

1: On Top of the Structure in Area 7

Location	Structure

The first Relic Record is found on top of the structure found in Area 7. You can easily get up to it by using a Wirebug.

2: Climb the Tree in Area 1

Location	Tree

The second Relic Record can be found by climbing the curved tree found in Area 1. There are actually a few trees in this area so be sure to go for the snow-covered curved tree.

3: Through a Tunnel in Area 4

Location	Tunnel

The third Relic Record can be found through a tunnel in a cliff south of Area 4. From below the cliff, you can enter the tunnel with ease using a Wirebug.

4: Enter the Cave in Area 4

Location	Cavern

The fourth Relic Record can be found in a cave near the water in Area 4. If you try to go there from the camp, be warned that it isn't easy to see the area at first glance.

5: Break the Snowman at the Melynx House

The fifth Relic Record can be found at the Melynx house in Area 5. Next to the house is a Snowman that can be broken open using Barrel Bombs or a Gunlance's Wyrmstake Cannon, so be sure to bring one of these.

6: Climb the Mast of the Ship in Area 8

The sixth Relic Record can be found at the top of the mast of the wrecked ship in Area 8. You can reach the top from the nearby cliff so get your Wirebugs ready and start climbing.

This can be sped up by riding your Palamute.

7: Enter the Cave in Area 11

Location	Cavern

The seventh Relic Record can be found in a small cave in Area 11. You won't be able to enter while on your Palamute so make sure to dismount and crouch down to crawl through the opening.

8: Enter the Cave at the Edge of Area 5

Location	Map

The eighth Relic Record can be found in a cave on the edge of Area 5. While the cave is at the top of a cliff, it can't be climbed using Wirebugs. Instead, you'll have to go around from the opposite cliff and Wiredash across the gap to reach this Relic Record.

9: Climb the Mountain North of Area 9

Frost Islands Relic Record 9 can be found at the top of a mountain in the northern part of Area 9. To start, you'll see two mountains in this area. Climb up the rightmost mountain then Wiredash across to the left where you'll see a Snow Herb. From there climb up the wall and go to your left to a ledge where you'll find the Relic Record.

For those who are used to using Wirebugs this shouldn't be too difficult, but for anyone who might struggle you can pick up a third Wirebug in the area ahead of time. With the Sunbreak DLC, this relic should be right above the 2nd Buddy Recon Point.

10: Wiredash Out of a Great Wirebug Between Areas 9 and 12

The final Relic Record in Frost Islands can be reached through the use of a Great Wirebug between Areas 9 and 12. Midflight, keep an eye out for an Archway on a cliffside, then Wiredash out of the Great Wirebug to reach the Relic Record.

Be warned, you need to time this right or you'll miss your target.

3: Behind a Tree in Between Frost Islands Areas 6 and 9

Location	Directions

The third Rampage Message can be found in between Frost Islands Areas 6 and 9 on the west side of a cliff. Wiredash across the gap and you'll find this Rampage Message on the other side of a tree.

4: At the Top of a Mountain in Frost Islands Area 6

Location	Map

The fourth Rampage Message can be found at the top of the highest mountain in Frost Islands Area 6. On your way up you'll run into some Jewel Lillies so take advantage of the Great Wirebug to get to this one.
