When Grinder (S) is active, all raw damage increases by 10% while the elemental modifier is boosted by around 7%. This is due to how damage is calculated since the sharpness modifier acts as a straight multiplier.
Wind Serpent Ibushi weapons in Master Rank all have short Purple Sharpness and skip directly to Blue, easily meeting the 2-level sharpening requirement for Grinder (S) Lv 2. Tigrex weapons can also be used as they have short White and Purple sharpness at Rarity 10.
You can even try pairing this skill with Bladescale Hone to keep the skill active without having to manually sharpen. Other good options include Protective Polish to let you manage their short Purple sharpness and Speed Sharpening if you aren't into Bladescale Hone's mechanics.
