Official Description | |||
A fox that inhabits the Shrine Ruins. Extremely rare, it has been seen perched atop the gate leading into the Ruins. Its large bushy tail has a unique pattern that gives off the impresion that it's split into nine separate parts, but in reality, it's just one large tail. Despite its majestic appearance, it's quite a playful creature. |
Like all Rare Endemic Life, Snow-faced Fox should be photographed in game in order to get its entry in the Hunter's Notes. Try using the Greeting in the Action Bar in front of it and see how it reacts!
How to Take Pictures with the Camera: Photo Mode
Snow-faced Fox can be found on top of the gate in Area 5 of the Shrine Ruins during nighttime. Make the trip up the mountain until you reach an ivy wall that has an Antidote Herb at its feet. Climb it, and you'll know you're in the right area when you see the big gate in the picture above. A couple of either Remobra or Bnahabra also spawn in the area.
You'll have to climb on top of the gate itself to take a picture, so make sure you have stamina and be ready to Wirebug your way up there!
For the fastest route here, start from the Main Camp and head to the Great Wirebug at Area 4 to climb the mountain. From there you can easily get to Area 5.
Shrine Ruins
If you don't find Snow-faced Fox there, try fast travelling to a camp and head back. Though its appearance is random, it should appear in one specific place only, like all Rare Endemic Life. You can also try waiting for a few minutes until it appears.

Player list provides all of their equipment information. But honestly that doesn't really matter mid hunt. Don't add DPS trackers. It gets really annoying hunting with someone thats just shouting out the damage numbers all hunt
