This is a guide on how to download the latest installment of the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter Rise (MH Rise) for Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn how to download, download size, fix download errors, and more!
List of Contents
The file size for the download is at 7.1GB so make sure that you have enough storage on your Switch or SD Card!
Before pre-loading the game, make sure that your Switch has enough storage to download the game. You will need to have atleast 7.1GB of free storage space to download the preload.
Further updates such as patch fixes and free title updates have been rolled out by Capcom since release. you can track all of them by reading our article linked below!
In the case of a lack of storage, it might be necessary to purchase an SD card to have more space to download the game. The Switch has a small storage size so an SD card is a near necessity if you plan to download games with massive file sizes.
The game is available for purchase at the Nintendo Eshop for digital copies while some physical copies are still available in some stores. If you pre-ordered the game, it should automatically start downloading on your Nintendo Switch.
Congestion of bandwidth can affect the availability of your download, especially if your internet connection has minimal Mbps. Connecting to a stronger and faster internet connection can help jump-start your game download.
Loading errors may occur and when that happens, one optional fix is to transfer your game or download path from the SD Card to the internal storage.
Despite the usual 12:00 AM launch time of most games, many players in Japan were unable to play right at launch, despite pre-loading in advance. While we can anticipate that you should be able to start playing right around the game's official release time, please note that factors such as the high volume of downloads by players around the world may cause temporary server issues, though they should resolve quickly.
Preordering operations for the Nintendo Switch have ceased as the game has been fully released.

Give us the ability to change our layered armor display. What I mean is, ya know how armor looks different on the male and female models? well, I wish there was the ability to change the appearance from the male models of armor, to the female models, and the reverse without changing the gender of your character itself. This would be really nice, as imo some armor pieces look better as the male model version.
