Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is now available for download on both Nintendo Switch and PC!
Preloading for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is now available for the Nintendo Switch! To preload the game for the system, you can pre-order the expansion in Sunbreak's My Nintendo Store page.
Preload is not available for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak for PC players via Steam. The game became available to download upon its release on June 30 at midnight, US eastern time via the Steam Store page.
Select the Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch home page.
Find Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak by searching via the search bar, in the Featured section, or by going to the "Coming Soon" section.

|Connect to the Internet to start the game.
Select the Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch homepage.
Select Enter Code from the choices on the left side of the screen.
|Enter the code from the Download Card you purchased.

Preloading allows you to download the expansion's file into your system, which can be helpful to do so in advance in case you have a slow Internet connection and avoid any delays when the game releases.
Another benefit of preloading the game is that you will be able to immediately enjoy Sunbreak on June 30, 2022 after it is live, instead of purchasing and downloading it on the hour.
Congestion of bandwidth can affect the availability of your download, especially if your internet connection has minimal Mbps. Connecting to a stronger and faster internet connection can help jump-start your game download.
Loading errors may occur and when that happens, one optional fix is to transfer your game or download path from the SD Card to the internal storage.
Despite the usual 12:00 AM launch time of most games, many players in Japan were unable to play right at launch, despite preloading in advance. While we can anticipate that you should be able to start playing right around the game's official release time, please note that factors such as the high volume of downloads by players around the world may cause temporary server issues, though they should resolve quickly.
