List of Contents
Goss Harag was shown both inflicting and being inflicted by Iceblight. His ice breath looks menacing, but his slow movements mean he won't be as huge of a threat as other wilier monsters.
Different versions of the Goss Harag fight were shown in the Japanese and English versions of the stream, so interested players can check out both for a comparison. Goss Harag revealed new powerful attacks in the English version as it became enraged, wielding ice blades on both its arms!
The Switch Skills for the Long Sword were demonstrated. As was previously shown, both normal attacks and Silkbind Attacks can be switched.
It seems that Switch Skills are used from the Item Box, so it won't be possible to switch in and out right in the middle of combat. Be sure to come prepared with the skills you want!
A variety of moves were shown for the Charge Blade which can be switched out in the English version of the video!
The Rampage was shown this time in full swing. The Hunter was able to place installations freely around the base.
It seems that monsters can destroy parts of the fort and installations, so protecting them from monsters' attacks also seems to be an important part of the fight.
As expected, Apex Monsters pack a punch, with Apex Arzuros dishing out as much as 3000 damage to parts of the fort. Don't mistake it for its standard version!
Magnamalo was shown in its appearance in the upcoming second Demo. It uses powerful signature attacks with its tail, and can inflict a new status effect which may translate to Hellfire Blight. This effect causes damage over time, but can be removed by using the Wirebug.
The first Palico Gadget shown in Monster Hunter Rise, the Healing Fruit seems to restore health quickly to a set area.
The Free Title Update coming at the end of April will allow for unlocking a new higher cap to players' Hunter Rank. It seems that HR points will continue to add up even when the player's HR is capped, so it's worth it to take the time to grind up in preparation for the Title Update.
The ending to the game will also be unlocked, so it seems that surprisingly, players cannot complete the entire story upon release of the game. On the plus side, it's exciting to know that we can expect more additions to the story even after the game is released.
This event went live at different times in Japan and the rest of the world.
