Melding Pot Guide: How to Use

Talk to Kagero the Merchant

Monster Hunter Rise (MH Rise) - Kagero
Compared to the MHW's various melding options, you are limited to getting Talismans only from Kagero the Merchant at the Steelworks and the Guild Store Merchant in the Gathering Hub.

At the Melding Pot, you will be able to create new Talismans from Monster Parts or older Talismans!

Talismans Will Be Completed After a Quest

Monster Hunter Rise (MH Rise) - Melding Complete After Quest

The Talismans you have crafted will be melded after a single non-expedition quest. Only 1 batch of Talismans will be completed per quest!

Talismans will be melded even if you fail a quest, so it's possible to farm Talismans quickly by purposefully failing hunts like in the Arena.

To take Talismans, just talk to Kagero the Merchant again then go to Melding Pot → Take talismans.

Requires Different Points for Each Melding Method

Lower ranked materials like Arzuros pelts will have lesser quality than materials obtained from enemies like Magnamalo. Always keep an eye out for the material value as well as the number of materials owned while choosing!

Also, try to combine different materials to get the exact value needed for that Melding. Any value above the required points will not be refunded!

Best Skills to Choose

Aim for Skills that Will Fit Multiple Builds

When aiming for skills, it is great to keep an eye out for skills that can be generally used by multiple weapons. This increases your talisman's useability when trying to create builds.

We suggest looking out for the following skills:

Skill Effect
Attack Boost* Increases attack power.
Critical Boost* Increases the damage of critical hits.
Critical Eye Increases affinity.
Flinch Free* Prevents knockbacks and other reactions to small damage.
Guard Reduces knockbacks and stamina depletion when guarding.
Weakness Exploit* Increases the affinity of attacks that exploit a monster weak spot.

    • Give us the ability to change our layered armor display. What I mean is, ya know how armor looks different on the male and female models? well, I wish there was the ability to change the appearance from the male models of armor, to the female models, and the reverse without changing the gender of your character itself. This would be really nice, as imo some armor pieces look better as the male model version.
