The Melding Pot is the primary method to obtain Talismans in Monster Hunter Rise. Talismans are akin to Charms in Monster Hunter World, and are an extra piece of equipment used to provide additional Skills for the hunter.
The Melding Pot can be unlocked after reaching ★5 Village Quests or ★3 Hub Quests. Once reached, you have to complete any quest then the Melding Pot will be unlocked.
For how to unlock all the Talisman melding methods from Reflecting Pool to Rebirth, check out our How to Unlock Talismans guide!
Compared to the MHW's various melding options, you are limited to getting Talismans only from Kagero the Merchant at the Steelworks and the Guild Store Merchant in the Gathering Hub.
At the Melding Pot, you will be able to create new Talismans from Monster Parts or older Talismans!
The Talismans you have crafted will be melded after a single non-expedition quest. Only 1 batch of Talismans will be completed per quest!
Talismans will be melded even if you fail a quest, so it's possible to farm Talismans quickly by purposefully failing hunts like in the Arena.
To take Talismans, just talk to Kagero the Merchant again then go to Melding Pot → Take talismans.
Lower ranked materials like Arzuros pelts will have lesser quality than materials obtained from enemies like Magnamalo. Always keep an eye out for the material value as well as the number of materials owned while choosing!
Also, try to combine different materials to get the exact value needed for that Melding. Any value above the required points will not be refunded!
The different melding methods also have different requirements for materials:
