Master Rank Armor Sets are generally unlocked at the Smithy in the following ways.

Each of these Armor Sets is unlocked automatically after completing a specific Quest. The How to Get in the table above details the method for unlocking the Quest required.

| Guild Palace Set | Clear MR Arena 04 - 06. |
| Blessed Feather Set | Clear all MR Arena Quests at least once. |
| Soaring Feather Set | Clear all MR Arena Quests with all weapons. |
Some armor sets require beating several arena quests to unlock. Fortunately, only completion matters so even getting B rank counts. Arena quests can be unlocked by finishing the respective Urgent Quests of the target monsters.
Although similar Materials are required for the MR version of LR/HR sets, sometimes the key Materials to unlock the set can be different.
For example, the Vaik S set required obtaining the Armored Bream to unlock, but although the Vaik X set requires a Large Armored Bream, this item is not required to unlock it, and instead it unlocks upon reaching MR 3.
