Best Armor Augments and Armor Recommendations

Keep Stamina Full for 3 Seconds

In order for Maximum Might to activate, you need to keep your stamina full for 3 seconds.

If your stamina falls below the maximum at any point while Maximum Might is active, the skill effect will continue for roughly one (1) second before deactivating.

Keep this in mind when using weapon attacks that cause continuous stamina drain like the Hammer or Bow's charge attacks.

Pair with Stamina-Conservative Weapons

This skill can be good to pair with weapons that do not require a lot of stamina management such as the Light Bowgun, Heavy Bowgun, or Great Sword.

Take care to manage your dodges and other actions consuming stamina for the most optimal use of Maximum Might.

How to Raise Max Stamina

Prioritize Other Affinity Skills First

Before adding Maximum Might, consider prioritizing other affinity skills first (most notably Weakness Exploit and Critical Eye) since these will consistently give you boosted affinity under conditions which are easier to fulfill than others.

Also check for other affinity-boosting skills such as Critical Draw which can be used for a play style based on the draw attacks of a Great Sword.

Maximum Might is worth considering when dealing with negative affinity weapons like those of Gaismagorm and Amatsu.

Synergizes with Other Skills

Skills Explanation
Heaven-Sent This skill's maximum stamina uptime is indefinite, so as long as the hunter is not knocked back and is within a set distance of the monster. Because of this, it is the ideal pair for Maximum Might.
Furious Maximum Might is active for the duration of the infinite stamina gained from the Blue Swap Scroll. Unlike Heaven-Sent, there is no risk to losing this except running out of time. However, the charging time for activating Furious will take a while.
Strife Strife requires the most risk for getting infinite stamina (the quickest way is to have it activated with Berserk). Maximum Might can add to the affinity increase already provided by Strife.

Maximum Might can be a good economic alternative to boosting affinity instead of Critical Eye when you are often or always at maximum stamina. Only Lv. 3 of Maximum Might is required for the 30% affinity boost whereas Critical Eye requires Lv. 6 to offer the same amount.

The value of this skill is dependent, however, on how long the infinite stamina can be maintained.

Its effect for Furious and Strife are more limiting because of their unique activation conditions. If looking for a consistent affinity boost in any situation, then the Critical Eye skill is a better choice over Maximum Might.
