Characteristics
A Magnamalo variant that achieves an even more twisted, malevolent form. Filled with hatred, they are known as "Scorned Magnamalo." Shrouded in Hellfire at all times, they also boast larger arm blades and harder armor plating. During battles, they have been spotted focusing their Hellfire and swinging it like a blade.

Quest Unlocks at MR 100

	Unlock Conditions: Reach MR 100

Scorned Magnamalo is unlocked by defeating MR Crimson Glow Valstrax at MR 70 and reaching MR 100. Doing both of these unlocks the Urgent Quest Back with a Vengeance, which allows you to face Scorned Magnamalo in the Citadel.

After completing its Urgent Quest, it will appear as a regular quest in the M★6 Quest Pool.

Scorned Magnamalo Hunting Tips

When these variants concentrate their Hellfire, they can unleash powerful attacks but also become more susceptible to damage if the Hellfire on their body is detonated. Press the attack further to send them into the Raging Hellfire state. But beware of powerful attacks from body parts infused with Hellfire!

Bring Water or Thunder Element Weapons

Scorned Magnamalo is most vulnerable to Water and Thunder. Bring weapons with these particular elements to take advantage of its weaknesses and make the fight less challenging.

Prepare a Third Wirebug

Scorned Magnamalo behaves aggressively and has an arsenal of quick and powerful attacks, making a third Wirebug incredibly useful for evading attacks and removing Hellfireblight. Pick up the Wirebugs you find scattered across each map to better prepare yourself against Scorned Magnamalo.

Avoid the Monster’s Initial Combo

Scorned Magnamalo always begins the fight with a dangerous high-damage combo of attacks, so be prepared to avoid it as soon as you initiate combat.

Focus on Hellfire-Covered Parts

When Scorned Magnamalo's body parts become covered in Hellfire, they turn into weak points which you should focus on to maximize your damage output.

In addition, dealing enough damage to these Hellfire-covered parts will cause the Hellfire to dissipate and knock down Scorned Magnamalo, making the monster even more vulnerable.

Remove Hellfireblight Immediately

Like its normal variant, some of Scorned Magnamalo's attacks can inflict Hellfireblight, a detrimental status effect that makes you explode when an attack knocks you back or after a certain amount of time has passed. Repeatedly evade, Wiredash, or use Deodorant to cleanse yourself of Hellfireblight.

Wiredash is Recommended

Using Wiredash to cleanse Hellfireblight is the recommended method as it leaves behind a Hellfire Orb when used. When Scorned Magnamalo attacks into a Hellfire Orb or gets caught within its timed explosion, it can cause a knockdown.

Wirefall Out of Dangerous Moves

Compared to its normal variant, Scorned Magnamalo now has several combos which can knock you out and send you back to camp. When hit by its combos, use Wirefall to move yourself out of the way and prevent yourself from fainting.

Triple Charge Combo

Triple Charge Combo Attack Information

Triple Charge Combo: Scorned Magnamalo lets out a mighty roar before performing an extended dash into two shorter charges, ending the combo with a devastating divebomb. This combo is the first attack that Scorned Magnamalo does upon initiating combat, so prepare for it accordingly. To avoid this attack, run perpendicular from Scorned Magnamalo's path and perform a dive evade to avoid the divebomb.

Claw Slam

Claw Slam Attack Information
Claw Slam: Scorned Magnamalo winds up one of its paws before slamming it down, dealing heavy damage. This attack becomes modified when Scorned Magnamalo is enraged, as it instead performs two Claw Slams with accompanying Hellfire blasts.

Hellfire Drill

Hellfire Drill Attack Information
Hellfire Drill: Scorned Magnamalo launches forward in a drill-like motion, wildly spinning around with Hellfire blasts as it lands. Evade perpendicular from Scorned Magnamalo's path to avoid this attack.

Hellfire Dust

Hellfire Dust Attack Information
Hellfire Dust: Scorned Magnamalo shakes its body or moves towards a certain direction, letting out Hellfire dust that explodes after a short duration. Stay close to Scorned Magnamalo and react to where the dust settles to easily evade this attack.

Ground Impale

Ground Impale Attack Information
Ground Impale: Scorned Magnamalo impales its tail into the ground behind it, letting out an explosion of Hellfire after a short delay. Roll away from Scorned Magnamalo's tail when this attack's wind-up occurs.

Hellfire Barrage

Hellfire Barrage Attack Information
Hellfire Barrage: Scorned Magnamalo whips its tail around above its head, shooting out a barrage of Hellfire orbs towards the hunter. Dodge away from the path of the Hellfire orbs to avoid this attack.

Blast Tail Slam Combo

Blast Tail Slam Combo Attack Information
Blast Tail Slam Combo: Scorned Magnamalo charges up and lets out a Hellfire blast from its mouth before moving backwards and slamming its tail towards the player. This attack has a significant amount of windup indicated by Scorned Magnamalo's mouth filling with Hellfire, so prepare to evade this attack when you see it coming.

Hellfire Tail Impale

Hellfire Tail Impale Attack Information
Hellfire Tail Impale: Scorned Magnamalo spins its tail above its head before sending it outwards to impale the player. This attack is also accompanied by a laser of Hellfire, allowing it to have a longer reach than a hunter might expect. This attack becomes modified when Scorned Magnamalo is enraged, as it instead performs two to three Hellfire Tail Impales with delays in-between.

Wave of Hellfire

Wave of Hellfire Attack Information
Wave of Hellfire: Scorned Magnamalo charges up one of its paws before letting out a large wave of Hellfire towards the player. When enraged, Scorned Magnamalo lets out two successive waves instead. Time your evades towards the left or the right when this attack's start-up occurs to avoid it.

Hellfire Twister

Hellfire Twister Attack Information
Hellfire Twister: Scorned Magnamalo rears back before wildly spinning around, letting out several erratic Hellfire explosions. It ends the attack by thrusting its tail towards the player. Keep an eye out for this attack's fast wind-up animation and dodge away from Scorned Magnamalo to avoid this attack.

Bite and Blast

Bite and Blast Attack Information
Bite and Blast: Similar to its regular variant, Scorned Magnamalo lunges forward to bite and grab the hunter, launching them into the air before letting out a powerful Hellfire blast. When hit by this attack, remember to use Wirefall in the air to avoid being instantly knocked out by this combo.

Magnamalo Thrash

Magnamalo Thrash Attack Information
Magnamalo Thrash: Scorned Magnamalo thrashes about in place, knocking the player away when hit. This attack occurs twice in a row, so watch out for the second thrashing after getting hit or avoiding the first.

Red Hellfire Explosion

Red Hellfire Explosion Attack Information
Red Hellfire Explosion: With the camera zooming out, Scorned Magnamalo lets out a loud roar before covering itself in red Hellfire and letting out a massive explosion. When this attack's wind-up animation begins, start running away from Scorned Magnamalo and perform a dive evade to avoid the large explosion.
