Chaotic Gore Magala

The fan-favorite Chaotic Gore Magala made a triumphant return in Sunbreak as speculated due to the inclusion of the two Magala variants Gore Magala and Shagaru Magala. Both monsters have been included in the game before Chaotic Gore Magala is added in past Monster Hunter entries and MH Rise Sunbreak follows suit.

Chaotic Gore Magala looks like a fusion of the two monsters and is capable of using the movesets of both and even combo them into new movesets.

Risen Kushala Daora and Risen Teostra

Risen Chameleos was introduced in the last update as a Risen Elder Dragon, hinting that it's not the only monster that can overcome its Qurio affliction. With the Free Title Update 3, both Teostra and Kushala Daora follow suit by overcoming the Qurio and emerging with their own Risen Variants.

Challenge the two Risen Elder Dragons by reaching Master Rank 120 for Risen Kushala Daora and Master Rank 140 for Risen Teostra!

Anomaly Quests System Expansion

With the Title Update 3, there are also updates in regards to the Anomaly Research Quests. There are two changes which are the addition of higher level Anomaly Quests and the adjustment of investigation levels which are all expanded upon below.

Higher Level Anomaly Quests

As with the previous title update, more large monsters have gained an afflicted version. With the addition of an A7★ quests, you'll encounter afflicted forms of monsters like Seething Bazelgeuse, Flaming Espinas, and Scorned Magnamalo.

Anomaly Investigations Updates

Title Update 3 raises the investigation and research level cap all the way to 200! Expect more afflicted materials to farm as well! In addition, hunters can now adjust the level of their investigations, so it should be easier to aim for lower-level materials.

Qurious Crafting Improvements

Shelling Level Boost

Gunlance hunters rejoice! Free Title Update 3 finally allows all Gunlances to reach Lv 8 Shelling, meaning we'll have more options for builds. Look forward to our updated Gunlance builds once this drops!

Higher Level Weapon Augments

Free Title Update 3 also enhances Qurious Weapon Crafting by giving a maximum of 8 Anomaly Slots, allowing for more augment combinations.

Some weapons sorely need higher levels for Affinity Boost and Rampage Slot augments, so we're hoping to see these get added in the next update, much like how Attack, Elemental, and Status all got extra levels last update.

Excess Amber Essence Refund & Royal Essence

Qurious Armor Crafting demands a lot of Prime Amber Essences, so every single one counts. The next update will also introduce Royal Amber Essence which gives double the points of Prime. With this update, excess points used for augmenting will be exchanged for an equivalent material so nothing will be wasted!

New Armor Augment Categories

With Free Title Update 3, more augment options are added to make rolling a little less random. These include Augment: Stability and Augment: Skills+ which give a greater chance for more defense and the addition of skills, respectively.

Expanded Follower System

Bring Followers To More Quests

Followers have remained relatively untouched from Sunbreak's release, with each update only adding Support Surveys for the new monsters. Title Update 3 now lets you bring Followers for most Master Rank Hub Quests, Anomaly Quests, and Investigations!

Additional Follower Settings

With Followers now joining you on more quests, Title Update 3 also introduces more settings to control their behavior such as when they can Wyvern Ride and how often they'll use items like Flash Bombs and traps.

New Events Quests and DLC

It has been confirmed as expected that new event quests will be making an apperance with the TU3 update. Aside from Event Quests, there are also several DLCs such as new Gestures, BGM, player voices (Chichae and Bahari), layered Hinoa armor set.

Stuffed Monster Layered Weapons DLC

Plush weapons are being added as a new layered weapon series in Monster Hunter Rise! They're called the Stuffed Monster Series, and all these layered weapon armor feature a stuffed toy design for each weapon type. They can be purchased individually or as a full set with a discounted price! No exact prices have been given yet, so stay tuned for more price confirmation.

Other Paid DLC

Aside from the mentioned Stuffed Monster layered weapon set, there are also other DLC that can be purchased upon the release of Free Title Update 3 such as new gestures, stickers, BGM, and even layered armor sets!

Free Kagami Character Voice

It's not all paid content however as there is a confirmed new Kagami character voice that you can download for free. Together with this new reveal, Kagami himself has been added to the game as a new character. Kagami is the leader of the Royal Secret service and is a Dual Blades user!

More Upcoming Updates Revealed

Free Title Update 4

More updates will be added to the game with Ver.14 which has a Winter 2023 release date. It features a new Elder Dragon and a new Powered-up monster. There are currently no hints as to who these new monsters are so stay tuned for more info.

Free Title Update 5

It was also revealed in the Roadmap that Free Title Update 5 is also planned to be released in the Spring of 2023. However, unlike the info reveal for TU4, not much was shown for TU5 as the only info given was that there will be new monsters for this update. We'll quickly add new information for TU5 when we get news about it.
