Thankfully, all balance changes and bug fixes will also be available even if you didn't buy the Sunbreak expansion. Sweet!
According to the official website, the release dates for Update 10.0 is expected to drop on June 29, 2022 for the Switch and June 30, 2022 for PC/Steam!

Black Belt S armor will also be made available alongside the high rank Defender weapon tree. This is for the people who want to speed through high rank and get to Sunbreak content.
Given all the content and features coming with Sunbreak, the update will require a fairly large 13 GB of storage, so be sure to free up enough space before it arrives!

All weapon classes will be able to have a new starter weapon tree that is way better than the Kamura weapon tree.
|Great Sword||Long Sword||Sword and Shield|
|Hammer||Hunting Horn||Switch Axe|
|Charge Blade||Insect Glaive||Bow|
|Light Bowgun||Heavy Bowgun|
