Focus Effects

Skill Effect
Increases the fill rate for weapons with gauges and the charge rate for weapons with charge attacks.
Level Effect by Level
1 5% faster gauge fill rate and 5% faster charge times.
2 10% faster gauge fill rate and 10% faster charge times.
3 20% faster gauge fill rate and 15% faster charge times.

Can You Roll Focus via Qurious Armor Crafting?

YES. Focus can be obtained as an extra skill on your armor when you try rolling for skills via Qurious Armor Crafting.

Weapons Affected by Focus

Type Effect
Great Sword Image Great Sword Improves charging speed of the great sword's charged slashes.
Long Sword Image Long Sword The Long Sword's Spirit Gauge fills faster.
SNS ICON.pngSword & Shield Increases charge level speed time. The change so small that you're better off using other skills instead.
Dual Blades Image Dual Blades Improves the fill rate of Dual Blades' Demon Gauge
Hammer Image Hammer Improves the charging speed of Hammer swings, similar to Great Swords.
Lance Image Lance Improves the charge time of Wide Sweep.
Gunlance Image Gunlance Shortens the charge times of Wyvern's Fire and Charged Shelling. We do not recommend using this skill on Gunlances due to how miniscule the improvement is.
Bow Image Bow Improves the bow's charge rate. Not recommended since Charging Sidestep and Dodgebolt are still more efficient in managing the bow's charges.
Heavy Bowgun Image Heavy Bowgun Improves the charge rate of the HBG's charged shots (Hold zR).

If a weapon type isn't on this list, then it isn't affected by Focus in any way.
