Chaotic Gore Magala Weapons have two affinity values, a positive and a negative one. Affinity normally determines the chance of getting increased damage if it's positive or lower damage if it's negative. Chaotic Gore Magala weapons will use either of the affinity values when checking for critical hits, so expect to see wildly different damage numbers.

Skills that increase affinity, such as Critical Eye and Weakness Exploit, only affect positive affinity. This means you'll still see reduced damage when using these weapons if you aren't taking advantage of its special affinity boost. However, you can take advantage of Brutal Strike through its rampage decoration to make some of your negative crits more powerful.

Chaotic Gore Magala weapons awaken their true power when overcoming the Frenzy. The negative value turns positive and adds to the original positive affinity value when you've overcome the Frenzy.

In addition to the 15% affinity bonus from beating the Frenzy, these weapons can easily reach 100% affinity with the right skills. Pair this with Bloodlust to use these weapons effectively against any monster and enhance its effects.
