YES. Diversion can be obtained as an extra skill on your armor when you try rolling for skills via Qurious Armor Crafting.

Best Armor Augments and Armor Recommendations

Draws Monster Aggression

When you have this skill equipped, rather than attack your buddies or other hunters, the monster you're fighting are more likely to attack you. This is useful if you are tanking for your team, or if the weapon you're using has good parry attacks.
